How to judge the quality of TPU film

1. Look at the viscosity of the film. In most cases, the oil absorption of SBS-based materials is much worse than that of SEBS, but its viscosity is higher than that of SEBS-based TPU materials.
2. Smell the smell. TPU materials with better quality are odorless, while materials with poor quality will have some peculiar smell.
3. Look at the gloss. As TPU materials, SBR base materials have higher glossiness than SEBS base materials, but SEBS base materials have more delicate hand feel, while SEB base materials have more rough hand feel.
4. Combustion performance. Generally, after combustion, the smoke emission of SBS-based TPU film is much higher than that of SEBS base material, which is mainly related to that SEBS is the product of SBS hydrogenation.
5. Processing temperature. The heating temperature of SBS substrate materials can reach 160 ℃, while the processing temperature of SEBS substrate materials needs to reach about 180 ℃. The specific heating temperature is closely related to the molecular weight contained inside.
No matter for individuals or enterprises, when choosing TPU film manufacturers, it is better to choose regular and large manufacturers to purchase, so that the quality of the selected materials will be more guaranteed. It can be seen that when purchasing films, we should pay attention to the selection of films with high cost performance, rather than paying too much attention to the price without considering the cost performance.
